Lisa Marie Sandbothe, 53, of Jefferson City, died Sunday, July 5, 2015, in Villa Marie. She was born June 25, 1962, a daughter of Tobias and Delores (Stegeman) Wieberg. Lisa had been employed by Lincoln University and Gerbes Supermarket. Survivors include: her children, Christian Marie, Steven Joseph and Mary Beth Sandbothe; brothers, James, Gary, Richard and Michael Wieberg; sister, Pat Steinman; sister-in-law, Donna Wieberg; and grandparents of her children, Ed and Alma Sandbothe. Visitation will be held from 9-11 a.m., Thursday, July 9, followed by the Funeral Mass at 11 a.m., in St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Argyle, all by Birmingham-Martin, Vienna.

Robert (Shorty) Coleman, age 73, of California, Mo., peacefully passed away Sunday, July 5, 2015, at Moniteau Care Center. He was born May 14, 1942, in Moniteau County, son of W.F. (Bill) and Helen (Wiser) Coleman who preceded him in death. Shorty loved his family and especially his grand kids. He loved family time and having the gang over for fish fries. He worked as a mechanic and a truck driver until his health declined. He worked for Sheriff Trucking, Byrn Wickam trucking and at last APAC. Survivors include: his wife, Aileen of the home; children, Tammy Coleman, Tina (Rick) Rogers, Laurie (Micah) Porter, Robbie (Tabitha) Coleman; grandchildren, Jesse Rogers, Blake Huff, Riley Allen, Jalyn Coleman; sister, LaNell (Crowbar) Pritchard; aunt Lafawn Mock. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ronald Coleman Services will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2015, at 7:00 p.m. at the Phillips Funeral Home Chapel. Violet Berniece Steinbeck, 86, of Owensville, Mo., passed away Sunday, July 5, 2015, at Victorian Place of Owensville. Violet was born in Osage County on December 28, 1928, to the late Lizzie E. Redden. November 24, 1945, on the farm in Bland, she was united in marriage to Homer Steinbeck. She was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Cooper Hill and the Gasconade County Historical Society. Her survivors include her daughters-in-law, Janet Steinbeck of Belle and Susan Steinbeck of Owensville; half-brother, Charles Tryee and wife, Irma of Houston, Mo.; half-sister, Rhoda Wilson and husband, Ronnie of Centertown, Mo.; and by five grandchildren, Tyler, Katia and Erica Steinbeck, Sherry Lococo and Shane Nicks. She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer on February 15, 1971; sons, Calvin Steinbeck and Alvie Steinbeck; granddaughter, Christina Nicks; and step-sister, Flora Mae Matthews. Visitation will be today, Tuesday, July 7, 2015, from 4-8 p.m., at the Gottenstroeter Funeral Home. Eugene William Blaske, 88, of Owensville, Mo., passed away Saturday, July 4, 2015, at Frene Valley Healthcare in Owensville. Eugene was born in Owensville on April 30, 1927, to the late Frank and Annie (Buchholz) Blaske. On September 14, 1950, at Immaculate Conception Church in Owensville, he was united in marriage to Mary Ann Plassmeyer. He served his country with the United States Navy. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus; the Moose Lodge; VFW Post #6133; and a charter member of the Owensville Lions Club. His survivors include his wife, Mary Ann; their children, Suzanne Farris and husband, James of Jefferson City, Paula Belloir and husband, Roger of Roseburg, Ore., Jeff Blaske and wife, Brenda of Defiance and Randy Blaske of Owensville; six grandchildren, Laura Schuffman, Daniel Farris, Joseph Belloir, Sarah Belloir, Ashley Blaske and Brittany Blaske; and four great-grandchildren, Rhys and Isla Schuffman, and Avery and Henry Farris. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Orville Blaske and Virgil Blaske; and sister, Adline Buddemeyer. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at 11 a.m., at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Owensville with Fr. Gregory Tigga as the celebrant. Mary Ann Jones, 84, of Jefferson City, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2015, at Jefferson City Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born June 26, 1931, in Jefferson City, the daughter of the late John Francis and Margaret Lorene (Scherr) Upschulte. She was a 1949 graduate of St. Peter High School. Mary Ann was united in marriage on January 7, 1950, at St. Peter Catholic Church to Donald Lee Jones who survives. Mary Ann served as secretary to the Director of Special Education for the Jefferson City Board of Education for over 16 years. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church where she volunteered on the prayer line and other church activities. Mary Ann's hobbies included crocheting, praying, and cooking. Her greatest passion was her family, spending time with her grandchildren was her greatest love. Mary Ann had a special niece she adored, Mary Lisa McDonald. In addition to her husband Donald, she is survived by three children, Mark (Melissa) Jones, Jefferson City; Mike (Mary) Jones, North Carolina; Julie (Greg) McKinney) Tebbetts; 15 grandchildren, Lori Lucas, Michelle Etter, Doug Etter, Kristen Jones-Hannah, Brock Jones, Derek Jones, Sarah Jones, Hannah Jones, Luke Wehking, Lexie Wehking, Carly McKinney, Caden McKinney, Michael Coleman, Jake McKinney, Zachary McKinney; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Donna Etter; and two siblings, Margaret Francis "Fammie" Frew and Robert Upschulte. Louise K. Ewers, 98, of Vienna, departed this life on Saturday, July 4, 2015, in the Capital Region Medical Center, Jefferson City. She was born on July 26, 1916, at Vienna, a daughter of Joseph F. and Margaret Ann (Schwartze) Weider. Mrs. Ewers was united in marriage on April 26, 1939, at Vienna, to Ildaphonse George "Ilda" Ewers, and to this union, seven children were born. Mrs. Ewers was a member of the Visitation Catholic Church in Vienna, a devoted member of the Visitation Ladies Quilting Group, and a member of the Stickney Friendship Club. She was a housewife and homemaker for all of her working life which says so much for her in that her church, religious instruction for her family, promoting her church with her talents and taking care of her husband and family were the utmost priority in her life. Those left to mourn the passing Mrs. Ewers include: Her children, Phyllis Nelson and husband, Eugene of Dixon, Kathleen Wieberg and husband, Adam of Vienna, James Ewers and wife, Kathy of Willow Springs, Linda Rush and husband, Tony of Holts Summit and Leonard Ewers and wife, Cindy of Vienna; son-in-law, Robert Alberts of Wichita, Kan.; daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Ewers Reinhardt and husband, Robert of Jefferson City; 34 grandchildren; 74 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; two step-great-great-grandchildren; nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces, great-great-nephews and nieces; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Ilda, on October 9, 1998; one son, Francis A. "Sonny" Ewers, on March 14, 1975; one daughter, Patricia Alberts, on August 18, 2008; two infant grandsons; one granddaughter; one great-grandson; her father, Joseph, on July 21, 1973; her mother, Margaret, on April 30, 1974; and three sisters and one brother-in-law, infant, Thelma Marie Weider on February 3, 1925, at the age of 1 year, 5 months and 2 days; infant, Mary Kathleen Weider (age and date of death unknown) and Frances Elizabeth (Weider) Barnhart on September 26, 2005; and brother-in-law, Samuel Everett Barnhart Jr., on June 12, 1998. Visitation for Mrs. Ewers will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2015, with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m.; and from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, July 9, 2015, in the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Vienna. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Mrs. Ewers at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2015, in the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Vienna with the Rev. Marie Therese Oldelehr, 86, of Westphalia, passed away Monday, July 6, 2015, at Westphalia Hills surrounded by her family. She was born November 30, 1928, in Linn, Missouri, the daughter of the late Leo and Agnes (Schaefer) Hueste. She was a 1947 graduate of Linn High School. Marie was united in marriage on April 19, 1952, at St. George Catholic Church in Linn to Joseph Henry Oldelehr, who preceded her in death on April 5, 2008. Marie served for over 27 years as the secretary to the Principal at Fatima High School in Westphalia. Marie also had served as a secretary for the Senate and House of Representatives at the State Capitol for two years and with Employment Security for eight years. Marie served as clerk for the Public Water Supply District 2 in Westphalia. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Westphalia Historical Society, and the Town and Country Club, all in Westphalia. Marie enjoyed embroidering, dancing, cooking, fishing, flowers, and especially loved being with her family. Survivors include: two sons and their wives, Michael and Melita Oldelehr, Jefferson City, and Gary and Mary Ann Oldelehr, Loose Creek; four grandchildren, Marcus and his wife Lindsey Oldelehr, Marisa and her husband Todd Schalhamer, Maribeth and her husband Tom McCormack, Sarah Oldelehr; five great-grandchildren, Sydney Oldelehr, Dane Oldelehr, Addison Schalhamer, Hadley Schalhamer, Ty Schalhamer; and three siblings, Margaret Fluegel, Jefferson City; Charles Hueste, Linn; and Ralph Hueste, Linn. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a sister, Leoba Hueste; and three brothers, Bernard, Albert, and Leo Hueste. Dorothy Jane Even, 80, of Westphalia, passed away Monday, July 6, 2015, at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital. She was born April 23, 1935, in Folk, Mo., the daughter of the late Herman and Regina (Scheppers) Rothove. Dorothy attended grade school at St. Anthony in Folk. She received her GED from Lincoln University and her LPN from Nichols Career Center. She was united in marriage on September 19, 1953, in Folk, to Leroy Charles Even who preceded her in death on December 12, 2010. Dorothy worked in her earlier years with McGraw Edison and Chesebrough Ponds. After she received her LPN she worked as a nurse in the OB department with St. Mary's Hospital. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Westphalia and the St. Ann's Sewing Circle. Her hobbies included fishing, quilting, gardening and cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals. Dorothy had a generous and loving heart who will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Charles W. Borgmeyer Sr., 75, of Jefferson City, passed away on Saturday, July, 4, 2015, at University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia. He was born December 5, 1939, in Jefferson City, the son of Frank and Caroline (Sanning) Borgmeyer, both of whom preceded him in death. On July 12, 1964, he was united in marriage to Dolores Garcia in San Antonio, Texas, she preceded him in death on April 24, 2009. He was a graduate of Fatima High School. Charles was a heavy equipment operator for Frank Twehous Excavating Company from 1963 to 2001, retiring after 38 years of service. He served his country in the United States Air Force, he was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, was a lifetime member and past Grand Knight of the Taos Knights of Columbus Council #6430, he was also a long time board member for the Cole County District 4 Water Board. At one time he played softball and basketball for the Taos Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed Cardinal Baseball, fishing, gardening, taking care of his yard, following the Blair Oaks Falcons, and watching his children and grandchildren participate in their many activities. Charles is survived by his children: Craig William Borgmeyer (Wendy) of Kansas City, Gina Keppler (Tim) of St. Louis, Tracey Wetzel (James) of Holts Summit, Charles William Borgmeyer Jr. (Dana) of North Kansas City; eight siblings: Teresa DeLorey (Steve) of St. Louis, Mary Stuckenschneider (Ray) of Sun City, Ariz., Betty Cassmeyer (Charles) of Osage Beach, Bernard Borgmeyer (Sue) of Eldon, Frances Glover (Jim) of Jefferson City, Ann Kolb (Robert) of Jefferson City, Thomas Borgmeyer of Jefferson City and Jane Hall of Jefferson City; eight grandchildren: Caroline and Kelsey Keppler, Elizabeth and Hannah Borgmeyer, Chloe and Claire Borgmeyer and Trueman and Iris Wetzel. Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one grandson: Christopher Joseph Borgmeyer; three sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law. Alfred Paul Rademann, 88, of Folk, passed away Monday, July 6, 2015, at Westphalia Hills. He was born September 6, 1926, in Folk, Mo., the son of the late Anton and Verona Pauline (Moeller) Rademann. Alfred was a farmer with his brother Elmer on the family farm in the Folk area and also worked at the Jefferson Building making drivers licenses. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. His survivors include four siblings, Louis (Jo) Rademann, Jefferson City, Elmer Rademann, Folk, Agnes Distler, Jefferson City, and Mary (Bill) Wekenborg, Henrietta, Texas; one brother-in-law, George Farris, New Bloomfield; 51 nieces and nephews; many great-nieces and nephews; and his special Border Collie, Katie. He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Leona (Bill) Kauffmann, Ann (Floyd) Wilson, Clara (Bill) Farris, and Regina Farris; two brothers, Clarence (Coty) Rademann, and Edwin (Frances) Rademann; one brother-in-law, Tony Distler; three nephews, Gary Rademann, Keith Distler, and Mike Distler; and his other special Border Collie, Rossie. Edwin Rademann, 92, of Russellville, Mo., passed away Monday, July 6, 2015, in Russellville, Mo. He was born March 5, 1923, in Folk, Mo., the son of Anton and Verona (Moeller) Rademan , both of whom preceded him in death. He attended Folk School. Edwin was united in marriage October 26, 1946, in Marys Home, Mo., to Frances Berendzen whom has also preceded him in death. Edwin was a long time salesman at Tharp Lumber and farmer. Edwin was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and VFW. He enjoyed coon hunting, cutting wood, traveling, his horses and his four-wheeler, he also enjoyed the company of his dog Tipper. Edwin served in WW11 aboard the LST - 487. He also went on the Honor Flight to Washington DC in 2010. He will be sadly missed. Survivors include: four sons, Edwin A. Marie was united in marriage on April 19, 1952, at St. George Catholic Church in Linn to Joseph Henry Oldelehr, who preceded her in death on April 5, 2008. Marie served for over 27 years as the secretary to the Principal at Fatima High School in Westphalia. Marie also had served as a secretary for the Senate and House of Representatives at the State Capitol for two years and with Employment Security for eight years. Marie served as clerk for the Public Water Supply District 2 in Westphalia. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Westphalia Historical Society, and the Town and Country Club, all in Westphalia. Marie enjoyed embroidering, dancing, cooking, fishing, flowers, and especially loved being with her family. Survivors include: two sons and their wives, Michael and Melita Oldelehr, Jefferson City, and Gary and Mary Ann Oldelehr, Loose Creek; four grandchildren, Marcus and his wife Lindsey Oldelehr, Marisa and her husband Todd Schalhamer, Maribeth and her husband Tom McCormack, Sarah Oldelehr; five great-grandchildren, Sydney Oldelehr, Dane Oldelehr, Addison Schalhamer, Hadley Schalhamer, Ty Schalhamer; and three siblings, Margaret Fluegel, Jefferson City; Charles Hueste, Linn; and Ralph Hueste, Linn. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a sister, Leoba Hueste; and three brothers, Bernard, Albert, and Leo Hueste. Visitation will be 4:30-7 p.m. Wednesday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home in Westphalia with a prayer service at 4 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Thursday, July 9, 2015, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Westphalia. Mr. Ronald John Eiken, 83, of Eugene, Mo., died Saturday, July 4, 2015, at the Harry S. Truman VA Hospital in Columbia, Mo. He was born on April 2, 1932, on Mulberry Street in Jefferson City, to Herbert John and Dorothy Lee Spencer Eiken. He was married on December 26, 1953, in Kansas City, Kan., to Reva Ann Motter, who preceded him in death in 1996. Mr. Eiken was a 1949 graduate of Eugene High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Ron was an entrepreneur, owning an automobile dealership, and a licensed Real Estate broker. He later in retirement years worked for the Missouri Department of Corrections, and was a driver for Lloyd Belt Automotive delivering vehicles around the United States. He was active in serving his community and faith being a Grand Knight in the Russellville Chapter of Knights of Columbus at St. Michaels Parish, he was the Commander and member of the Honor Guard at the Eldon VFW post. Ron helped veterans in need and was always counted on to help plan dances, golf tournaments, parades, bingo, and assist at ball games. Ron enjoyed being on the water, boating, dancing, singing - he was a very social man with many friends whom enjoyed his company. He had a deep love for his family and enjoyed the times spent with them making memories. Mr. Eiken is survived by his dear companion, Cordie Hibdon; three children, Judith A. Reinke (Don) of Phoenix, Ariz., Bruce M. Eiken (LaSondra) of Jefferson City, and Mitchell D. Eiken of Jefferson City; one grandson, Shawn M. Eiken of Jefferson City; two granddaughters, Madison Piening of Eugene, and Morgan Piening of Eugene; one sister, Betty Hirschman (Ralph) of Osage Bend; and one brother-in law, Robert Noe of Phoenix, Ariz. He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of 43 years; one sister, Linda Noe; and one brother, Terry Eiken. Mass of Christian Burial will be 1 p.m., Friday July 10, 2015, at St. Michael Catholic Church, Russellville, with Fr. Stephen Jones officiating. Mr. Jerry W. Curtit, age 68 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at the University Hospital in Columbia, Mo. Jerry was born on February 16, 1947, in Jefferson City, Mo., a son of Connie and Clara (Nilges) Curtit. Until Jerry was six years old, he lived the majority of those years at Shiner's Children's Hospital due to orthopedic problems. On February 14, 1996 he was united in marriage to Brenda Workman in Jamaica. Jerry was a 1965 graduate of Linn High School in Linn, Mo. Following graduation he joined the United States Army in 1966 and served a tour of duty in Vietnam from 1967 until 1968. While serving in Vietnam, he was a machine gunner and has always been proud of his service to our country. He was a life member of the V.F.W. Roy Sone Post 1003. After returning from Vietnam, he attended Lincoln University receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice. He then attended Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, Mo. where he received a Masters Degree in Criminal Justice Administration. Jerry was employed for over 30 years with the Missouri Department of Corrections. He served with the Missouri State Probation and Parole Department, the Algoa Correctional Center in Jefferson City, Mo., the Fulton Reception and Diagnostic Center, and in the original Missouri State Penitentiary in Jefferson City. He retired in August 1999 from the original Missouri State Penitentiary as the Assistant Superintendent. Jerry always cherished time with his family, especially coaching his kids in baseball and basketball when they were younger. Spending time with his children and grandchildren, camping and boating were his favorite past times. He never knew a stranger and loved having all his relatives and friends at his home for the 4th of July Celebration complete with fireworks, DJ music and dancing. Jerry enjoyed traveling and spending his winters in Florida. He was always working in his beautiful yard and it is a showplace in and of itself. Survivors include: his wife, Brenda Curtit; one son, Dustin Curtit (Paula) of St. Charles, Mo.; three daughters, Jill Verslues (Ryan) of Jefferson City, Mo., Lindsey Curtit (Ashley Stockman) of St. Charles, Mo. and Tracy Clingman (Lance) of Mokane, Mo.; one brother, Jack Curtit (Mary) of Jefferson City, Mo.; one sister, Susan Eidson of Jefferson City, Mo.; 10 grandchildren, Claire Curtit, Leah Curtit, Allison Curtit, Emma Verslues, Elliot Verslues, Elaina Verslues, Andrew Felkner, Marah Felkner, Kennedy Clingman and Rylie Clingman; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by one sister and brother-in-law, Dr. Larry and Judy Kerns; and a niece, Julie Kerns. Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m., Friday, July 10, 2015. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 11, 2015 in the Freeman Chapel with Pastor Mike Haldeman officiating. Alberto Gaona, 34, of Fayette, died Monday, July 6, 2015 as a result of a tractor accident. Alberto Gaona was born January 20, 1981, in Taretan, Michoacan in Mexico to Mario Gaona Sanchez and Cirina Villa. He married Courtney Hill on December 15, 2014, in Marshfield, Mo. For many years Alberto worked with saddlebreds as a caretaker and trainer at Mike Robert's Stable and in the past two years, at Middendorf Farms. He was well respected by everyone who knew him and will be deeply missed by those who only just knew him and those who knew him for years. Family and friends were always important to Alberto. He is survived by his wife, Courtney, and two daughters, Angelica and Kimberly Gaona; his mother, Cirina Villa; and three sisters, Jesenia, Grabiela and Judiru. Besides his father, he was preceded in death by one brother. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 11, 2015, at Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Fayette with Rev.
