As a member of the Knights of Columbus, he was part of many activities that benefited the church, school and community. He was on the Board of the Farmer's Mutual Insurance Group for many years and belonged to other farming organizations like MFA and the NFO. He and wife Louise enjoyed traveling and especially memorable was the time they took the family to Hawaii to celebrate their 50th Wedding Anniversary. Family and friends enjoyed his wit and humor. He could whip out an old saying at just the right time that would make you laugh. He was a self-made man who loved God, family, friends and his country. He was always ready to help a neighbor in need. He gave blood at every opportunity and eventually was a donor of more than 8 gallons in his lifetime. He had a way of endearing himself to everyone in his life. He will always be remembered as a blessing and gift to his family who loved him. We are grateful to his faithful and loving caregivers. We celebrate his life here and into eternal life with our Heavenly Father. He is survived by: two sons, Terry (wife Dottie) Reibenspies of Simi Valley, Calif., Roland Reibenspies of Tipton; three daughters, Hedy (husband Albert) Rackers of Columbia, Mo., Jane (husband Glen) Stratman of Jefferson City, Mo. and Renee (husband Bob) Barr of Marshall, Mo.; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by: his wife, Louise; son, Philip; one grandson; and one great-grandson. Services will be held Saturday, November 29, 2014, at St. Andrews Church in Tipton, Mo., with visitation beginning at 9 a.m., with the funeral Mass following at 11 a.m., with Fr. Fred Elskamp and Deacon Terry Reibenspies (son) officiating. Burial will be in St. Andrews Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Andrews Catholic School or St. Andrews Catholic Church.
